We supply a STRUCTURAL Dictionary with the base Spell-CheckerPRO which contains all the basis STEEL SHAPES, however other Dictionaries will become available for other disciplines a 'COMPANY ARCHITECTURAL' dictionary.
#4 Misspeller's Dictionary - We suggest that the MISSPELLER's Dictionary simply be used for correcting common misspellings like tailight (wrong) for taillight (right). The Misspeller's Dictionary comes with approximately 2,000 words.
#5 'QUICK TYPO' Dictionary- The QUICKTYPO was intended to be used as a PERMANENT spell history for the user. This dictionary is particularly useful if you find it difficult to maintain standard company abbreviations. The different spellings can be easily corrected without requiring constant attention from the user to make the corrections. This helps you maintain uniform documents. In addition, users may find that they have words that they tend to misspell (or mistype) frequently.
#6 Special Characters' Dictionary-Spell Checker PRO has some unique and powerful capabilities regarding the recognition and identification of all matter of SPECIAL CHARACTERS, NUMBERS and FRACTIONS (i.e.!@#$%^&*()_+|=-\/.,<<>>?:"1234<@188>.) These characters are often found in technical documents, however most spell-checkers wouldn't quite know how to handle them, or even more serious, treat them as blanks!
#7 User-Defined 'Search' Capability-For example, just one of the several USER DEFINED SEARCH CAPABILITY that can be implemented is the Removal of trailing special characters -,:;?!, This option REMOVES any SPECIAL CHARACTERS from the ends of words and then evaluates them. This is useful if you have punctuation type SPECIAL CHARACTERS in your text fields and you want to not have to be shown them as suspected misspellings. However, when you are looking for ALL the text and SPECIAL CHARACTERS in something like a drawing, you HAVE TO EVALUATE EVERY INSTANCE OF POSSIBLE MISSPELLINGS. To do this you can't disregard the SPECIAL CHARACTERS that are normally found in virtually any text field in something like a drawing, and you also have to sensitive to the SPECIAL CHARACTERS that can be intermixed almost anywhere.
#8 Usage Log Files which records ALL CHANGES TO YOUR DRAWINGS. If this option is turned ON, each time you do any Spell-Checking session the results will be written to a sequentially numbered file in your /USTATION/CONFIG/APPL directory. This option is very useful for documenting WHO changed WHAT, WHEN and WHERE. It also gives a very detailed report OF ALL THE CHANGES MADE TO THAT DRAWING WITH Spell Checker PRO and contains much valuable information.
#9 Network capable- The ability to have MULTIPLE USER CONFIGURATIONS and MULTIPLE USERS has been designed into Spell Checker PRO . This capability has been extended to Spell Checker PRO in that you may want a DIFFERENT spell-checker configuration for each user (i.e. STRUCTURAL, HVAC, MECHANICAL, etc.) that defines specific APPLICATION, USER and TECHNICAL DICTIONARIES. A second level of compatibility here would be to permit the USER-DEFINED dictionary that can redefine any or all of the MASTER configuration variables. These could include project specific dictionaries for Part Numbers or Company Specific Terms, or so forth.
